Pull & Binder

01 — Editorial policy

Editorial policy

What we will and will not publish, how the commercial side is handled, and what happens when we get something wrong.

By Brijon M.Published

02

Editorial independence

Pull & Binder earns money from affiliate commissions on purchases made through our links. That is the whole business model and it creates an obvious tension: we are paid when you buy, which gives us a reason to tell you to buy things.

The thing that keeps that honest is that commission rates do not vary enough between the products we cover to make one more profitable to recommend than another, and a site that recommends the wrong binder is a site nobody returns to. Our interest is in being right, and we would rather state that as a structural fact than as a promise.

03

What never happens here

  • Paid placement. No product appears because a brand asked or paid. There is no rate card.
  • Sponsored content. We publish no sponsored posts, and there are none to disclose.
  • Pre-publication review. No manufacturer, retailer or PR agency sees a page before it goes live.
  • Commission-first ordering. Where a cheaper product is better for the buyer, it goes first, regardless of what it pays.
  • Fabricated anything. No invented reviews, testimonials, ratings, review counts, prices or testing claims. This is the line we would never cross.

04

What we publish

Claim typeStandard we hold it to
A product exists and is soldVerified against a live retailer or manufacturer source
A specification — capacity, size, contentsStated by the manufacturer or a retailer, and cited
A release date or retail priceCited to a retailer listing, labeled as MSRP where relevant
A rule — deck size, grading requirementsCited to published guidance
A subjective judgment — shuffle feelAttributed to the independent sources we cite
Our scoreOur own, against a rubric published on the page
Experience with a productWe make no such claims. We do not test products.

05

Reviews and testimonials

There are none on this site. No customer quotes, no reader ratings, no "what collectors say" section. We have no real testimonials to publish, and the only way to fill that space would be to invent them.

If reviews ever appear on Pull & Binder, every one will be a real, attributed quote with a source a reader can check. Until then the section stays absent — which is the honest state of a site that is new.

06

Corrections

This is a site about products that change. Pack counts shift between expansions, binders get discontinued, grading companies update their submission requirements. Going out of date is the default condition, not a failure.

So corrections are welcome and we act on them. Email contact@pullandbinder.com or use the contact form and point at the specific claim. We fix the page and update its last-updated date, which is shown in the byline on every page.

Where a correction changes a recommendation rather than a detail, we change the recommendation. We have no position to defend here that is worth more than being right.

07

Authorship

Every page is written by Brijon M., owner of MadGrey LLC. There is no freelance pool and no AI-generated byline standing in for a person. The byline links to the About page, which states plainly what his background does and does not include.

We do not claim credentials he does not hold — no grading qualifications, no tournament record, no shop ownership. Where expertise would genuinely change an answer, we cite people who have it.

08

Scope: what this site does not cover

  • Card values and price guides. Prices move constantly and depend on condition in ways a page cannot settle. We will not publish them.
  • Investment or resale advice. Out of scope entirely. The hobby works better when the cards are just cards.
  • Competitive deck lists and tournament meta. Better sites exist and we are not trying to be them.
  • Japanese-market products. A different product line with different sizing. We cover the US market.

09

Every outbound commercial link on this site goes to Amazon, carries `rel="sponsored nofollow noopener"`, and is marked `#ad` with a disclosure link directly beneath it. The full mechanics are on the affiliate disclosure page.
