Pull & Binder

01 — Affiliate disclosure

How this site is funded

We earn a commission on Amazon purchases made through our links, at no extra cost to you. Here is exactly how that works and what it does not change.

By Brijon M.Published

02

The formal statement

Pull & Binder is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

03

How it actually works

  1. 01You click a buy link on one of our pages.
  2. 02The link passes through our own `/go` redirect, which adds our Amazon tracking tag and sends you to Amazon.
  3. 03If you buy something, Amazon pays us a percentage of the sale.
  4. 04You pay exactly what you would have paid anyway. The commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not out of your price.

Our Amazon tracking tag is `ml-pullbinder-20`. It is the only affiliate tag used anywhere on this site. There are no other affiliate networks, no sponsored links and no paid placements.

04

What it does not change

  • What you pay. Nothing. The price is Amazon's price.
  • Which products we pick. Commission rates do not vary enough between the products we cover to make one more profitable to recommend, and the cheaper product goes first whenever it is better for the buyer.
  • What we say about them. We recommend against booster boxes as a first purchase on most pages where they appear, and we earn on booster boxes.
  • Your data. We do not see what you buy. Amazon reports totals, not purchases tied to you.

05

Why we print no prices

Because we cannot verify them continuously, and a wrong price is worse than no price. Every buy button on this site reads "Check price on Amazon", and what you see when you get there is what Amazon is actually charging.

This is built into the site rather than being a policy someone has to remember. Our content model has no price field at all, so a price cannot be typed into a page by hand. When live price data is available, it renders through a layer that expires after 48 hours — so if the price feed ever stops, every number disappears and the buttons fall back to "Check price". The failure mode is silence, not a stale claim.

Where a manufacturer's suggested retail price is a relevant published fact — the $50 MSRP on a mainline Elite Trainer Box, for instance — we cite it as an MSRP with its source and never as a current price.

06

What we doWhy
`rel="sponsored nofollow noopener"` on every earning linkGoogle's link-spam policy requires sponsored links to be marked
`#ad` plus a disclosure link under every buy buttonFTC guidance: disclosure where the click happens, not buried
A disclosure block above the first buy CTA on every commercial pageSo you know before you read the recommendation, not after
Buy links open in a new tabThe article stays where it was
Our `/go` redirect is noindex and robots-disallowedIt is a redirect endpoint, not a page

07

Not every outbound link here is an affiliate link. The sources block at the bottom of our pages cites retailer and manufacturer listings we used to verify facts — pack counts, release dates, grading requirements — and we earn nothing from those. They are there so you can check our work.

We also link to Pokemon's own store as a reference for official product information. We are not in an affiliate relationship with them and earn nothing there. Where a link earns, it is marked `#ad`; where it does not, it is not.

08

Amazon's content terms

Amazon product data and imagery may only be used to promote that item on Amazon, so anything sourced from Amazon on this site sits next to a link to that product on Amazon. We do not use Amazon product photography beside a link to a different retailer, and we do not scrape or hotlink imagery from anyone else's site.

09

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you think a link is marked wrongly, email contact@pullandbinder.com or use the contact form. We would rather fix a disclosure problem than have one.

10

Questions people actually ask

Does Pull & Binder make money from recommendations?
Yes. We earn an affiliate commission when you buy something after clicking one of our links. You pay Amazon's normal price — the commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not yours.
Does the commission affect which products you recommend?
Commission rates do not vary meaningfully between the products we cover, and the cheaper option goes first whenever it is better for the buyer. We recommend against booster boxes as a first purchase on most pages where they appear, and we earn on booster boxes.
Why does the site never show a price?
Because we cannot verify prices continuously and a wrong price is worse than none. Our content model has no price field, and live price data expires after 48 hours so numbers vanish rather than going stale.
Are all your outbound links affiliate links?
No. The sources at the bottom of each page cite retailer and manufacturer listings we used to check facts, and we earn nothing from those. Earning links are marked #ad with a disclosure beneath them.
Do you accept payment for placement?
No. There is no rate card, no sponsored content and no manufacturer sees a page before it publishes. Our editorial policy.
